Alper Alp (Our Bob) is a contemporary storyteller and musician who reinterprets the ancient ‘Bard’
tradition for the modern world. His artistry is built on a formidable academic foundation:
combining a Singer-Songwriter certification from Berklee College of Music with Music
Technologies studies at the ITU State Conservatory, and an analytical perspective from his
engineering roots.

Alper creates a soundscape where nostalgic Turkish folk and jazz elements merge seamlessly with modern indie-pop textures. His musical journey is defined by a steady rise from Istanbul’s intimate boutique stages to major municipal festivals, cultivating a deeply loyal and growing fanbase along the way. A crowning achievement was his sold-out performance at the historical Crimea Memorial

Church, a testament to his ability to captivate audiences in atmospheric settings. Beyond the
stage, his ‘Herkes Rüyada’ on YouTube showcases the band’s raw, unfiltered chemistry.

On stage, Alper leads the ‘Songs of the Urban Bard’ (Kent Ozanı Şarkıları) project, backed
by a tight-knit 6-piece ensemble. Far from a static recital, the show is a high-energy experience featuring fretless guitars, rich harmonies, and driving rhythms. Currently, the band is carrying this momentum into a busy release schedule. Alper Alp is set to release a series of new singles in March, paving the way for his highly anticipated debut
EP in May 2026. With a fusion of storytelling and rhythm, Alper Alp is ready to bring the
authentic, vibrant stories of Istanbul to the international stage.
